Martin (Marty) V. Weithman

Placed on leave 7/02 after allegation he molested a teenage boy over a 6-yr
period in late 1980s.
Weithman denied allegation and threatened to sue accuser.
Case settled for $115K in 2002.
Review board found allegations credible. In 2003
Weithman was told to ask for laicization or
Bishop would ask Vatican to laicize
without consent. Weithman did not consent until 2004.
Laicized in 2005.
