Comment by ColumbusTruth.org: From the yellow highlighted footnote it appears that Bishop Hartley dealt with his "problem" priests by sending them to the small towns along the Ohio river putting them out of sight and out of mind. Thus the new Steubenville diocese was the inheritor of the Columbus diocese's "dumping ground for bad priests". | |

Brown, who was a cleric in Steubenville diocese, that it was well known in the Catholic diocese that there was a cover-up conspiracy to hide/shield bad priests.
