HELP US PROTECT KIDS

WHO WE ARE

We are clergy sex abuse victims and supporters who belong to a nationwide a support group called SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAPnetwork.org)

WHY WE'RE HERE

We are worried about Fr. Patrick Nicholas Hughes. He was arrested last week for trying to meet up for a sexual encounter with two boys, ages 9 and 14. Hughes is the acting dean at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral on the southern edge of the Short North. He has been charged with attempted rape, a second-degree felony, and attempted unlawful sexual contact with a minor, a fourth-degree felony.

WHAT WE WANT

We want Greek Orthodox church officials to

--to make public every location where Fr. Hughes worked, and

--aggressively seek out and help anyone who may have seen, suspected, or suffered any misconduct by him or other clerics.

And we want any other victims, witnesses or whistleblowers with any knowledge or suspicions of clerics’ crimes to contact law enforcement immediately.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Contact Greek Orthodox Cathedral officials. Urge them to seek out others who may have been hurt by Fr. Hughes or may have information about his misdeeds.

Tell church authorities to share every bit of information they have about Fr.Hughes with law enforcement.

And talk with your own friends and family. Assure them that if they were molested by a cleric or any adult help is available and healing is possible.
